Beef Stew – Candida Diet Recipe
This hearty beef stew with be sure to satisfy your hunger. This recipe yields 10 servings so freeze leftovers in small portions and reheat later to experience quick and convenient yeast free meals.
Beef Stew Ingredients
1 tablespoon cold pressed olive oil
1 medium onion finely chopped
6 medium potatoes peeled and sliced
8 medium carrots sliced
1 pound ground beef (cubed for stewing)
8 cups water
2 cups tomato sauce
2 ribs celery sliced
2 cups fresh pearl onions
2/3 cups tomato paste
6 cloves garlic minced
1 teaspoon fresh basil chopped
1 teaspoon fresh oregano chopped
1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme
Beef Stew Directions
Heat olive oil in large pot
Add beef and brown on all sides
Stir in medium onion
Cook while continuously stirring, approximately 3 minutes
Add water, scraping browned meat particles from the pan
Stir in tomato sauce
Cover and cook over low heat for 1 hour
Stir in celery, pearl onions, potatoes, carrots, tomato paste, garlic, basil, marjoram, oregano and thyme
Cover and keep at low heat for about 1 hour or until vegetables are tender
