This Week’s Candida Diet Menu

I apologize for this week’s delayed candida diet menu.  I am struggling a bit to get it together after our trip from Delaware.  There is so much going on for me right now and I have to admit that I have been a bit frustrated with having to cook yeast free.  I did follow the diet the majority of last week but the drive to Delaware was a bust with a stop at McDonald’s and a bag of Peppermint Patties from Travel Mart.  Once we got to Delaware I was able to prepare the yeast free meals I planned from the ingredients that I packed.  I did have to go to Walmart to pick up ground turkey meat and chicken breast but that was easy enough.  I found that Walmart even had a pretty good gluten free isle, so I was also able to pick up some brown rice flour that I needed.  So I guess all was not lost and the car ride home went well because I just packed the leftover food we had prepared in Delaware.  I guess I just have to prepare better for the initial car ride next time.  Driving is so boring and be bored is definitely one of my triggers to eat whatever is in site.  I should get another chance again to master eating yeast free on the road as we are thinking of maybe doing the drive to Florida again for vacation.

I know I am behind posting recipes so I will try to focus on that the remainder of the week.  The kabobs from last week were fun to make and really tasty, so I promise to post the recipes as soon as possible.  I am going to try a variety of new and easy recipes this week so I hope some if not all of these will be helpful to my fellow candida dieters.  Have a great week!
