Yeast Free Crockpot Chicken Taco Chili

This Yeast Free Crockpot Chicken Taco Chili was a huge hit with my family and friends.  I recently invited by BFFs over for a Yeast Free Living dinner.  I was looking forward to spending some time with them and getting some additional opinions on a few of the yeast free recipes I had recently posted.   This chili was not even on the menu but I had a great deal of it left over from dinner the day before so I decided to serve it.  I made a total of 5 yeast free dishes for our dinner and while my friends enjoyed everything, they raved about this chili.  I am thrilled that everyone loved this dish but I have to give the credit to Gina at Gina’s Skinny Recipes.   I first came across Gina’s site a few years back and have tried several of her recipes.  It is truly a great site, so check it out.

This Yeast Free Crockpot Chicken Taco Chili was breeze to make thanks to some candida diet friendly canned products.  I do mix my own chili powder and taco seasoning to avoid unwanted additives but this is the only prep work needed to prepare this recipe.  Just a warning, the jalapeno makes this a pretty spicy dish.  If you don’t like your chili too spicy just omit it.  I hope that you enjoy this chili as much as my family and friends did.

Shoprite Organic Canned Black Beans
Pomi Strained Tomatoes (Does not contain citric acid)
Pomi Chopped Tomatoes (Does not contain citric acid)
Shoprite Frozen Corn
McCormick Ground Cumin
Tyson Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast

Yeast Free Crockpot Chicken Taco Chili
Recipe type: Chili
  • 1 yellow onion chopped
  • 1 can black beans
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 4 cups diced tomatoes
  • 1 – 10 ounce package frozen corn
  • 2 and ½ tablespoons yeast free taco seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon yeast free chili powder
  • 1 jalapeno seeded and chopped
  • 1 and ½ pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
  1. Combine beans, onion, corn, tomato sauce, tomatoes, jalapeno, cumin, chili powder, and taco seasoning in the crockpot
  2. Place chicken on top and cover
  3. Cook on low for 10 hours or on high for 6 hours
  4. Half hour before serving, remove chicken and shred
  5. Return chicken to slow cooker and stir in

    This is my favorite chicken chili recipe. I tried making it with and without the jalapeno. For me, I use half of a jalapeno, and the spice is just perfect. Love it! Thanks again!!!
